A PLAYERS GUIDE TO THREE CARD POKER

THREE CARD POKER RULES

Three Card Poker offers two games in one.
Players may bet on PAIR PLUS and/or ANTE.

FOUR WAYS TO WIN

Once players have placed their bets on either PAIR PLUS or ANTE or both, three cards will be dealt to each player and to the dealer.

A bet on PAIR PLUS will be paid if the player has a pair or better, irrespective of the value of the dealer’s hand. If the player does not have a pair or better the bet loses, again irrespective of the dealer’s hand.

Players who have placed a bet on ANTE must decide once they have seen their cards whether they are going to play or fold. If they fold, the ANTE bet will lose. If the player decides to play an amount equal to the ANTE bet must be placed in the PLAY box.

HAND RANKS IN ASCENDING ORDER

HIGH CARD: None of the following
PAIR: Two cards of same value
FLUSH: Three cards of the same suit
STRAIGHT: Three cards in sequence, not of the same suit
THREE OF A KIND: Three of same value
STRAIGHT FLUSH: Three cards in sequence, of the same suit

NOTES:

STRAIGHT ranks higher than a FLUSH, THREE OF A KIND ranks higher than a STRAIGHT. Ace is a high except in 3-2-Ace, STRAIGHT and STRAIGHT FLUSH.  3-2-Ace is the lowest STRAIGHT and STRAIGHT FLUSH.

The dealer will qualify with QUEEN HIGH.

If the dealer qualifies and has a lower value hand than the player, both ANTE and PLAY bets will win and will be paid 1 to 1.

If the dealer qualifies and has a higher value hand than the player, both ANTE and PLAY bets will lose.

If the dealer qualifies and has a hand equal to the player's, both ANTE and PLAY bets will be a stand off.

If the dealer does not qualify, the ANTE bet is paid 1 to 1 and the PLAY bet stands.

Bets on ANTE will be paid a bonus if the player has a Straight or better, irrespective of the value of the dealer’s hand.

Players may examine their hands as soon as the dealer has completed dealing the cards.

A misdeal will be called if an incorrect number of cards is dealt to any player or to the dealer, or if there is ambiguity as to which card belongs to which hand.

Players are not permitted to communicate any information regarding their hand to another person.

Variation from this rule may result in the hand being declared void.

Players are not permitted to play on another player’s box.

PLAYERS MUST AT ALL TIMES KEEP THEIR CARDS ABOVE THE TABLE IN FULL VIEW OF THE DEALER.
